An International student seeking admission to any course
in the University in Karnataka must first submit an applicaton
for assessment of academic eligibility for pursuing that course.
The guidelines set by the Association of Indian Universities
are followed in the assessment of eligibility.
*The minimum entry qualification for different courses offered by the
Universities in Karnataka is broadly as follows:
Undergraduate degree Courses   :A pass in the +2 level course(Pre-University or Grade XII,
as the case may be) equivalant to 12 years of schooling.
Postgraduate degree Courses   :A pass in a 3 or 4 years Undergraduate program offered
by a recognized University.
Ph.D.               :A pass in two years Master’s Degree in the qualifying
subject or an allied subject where inter-disciplinary
research is permitted.               For being considered for admission
to a Ph.D program, a candidate must have secured a
minimum of 55% in the Master’s Degree               program.
Postgraduate Diploma             :Pass in 3 or 4 years Undergraduate program offered by a
Diploma Courses                   :Pass in the +2 level course. [12 years of schooling]
Certificate Courses                 :Pass in Grade X (10) examination.
